Phoenix best music poll 2009

For the past year I've been out of sight, working on various projects: putting the finishing touches on the Joe Beats & Blak LP, working on a new solo effort, and assisting/tying up other side collaborations.

By some stroke of luck (or by default) I've been nominated once again for the Providence Phoenix's annual best music poll. I'm always humbled by such things...though this year a little perplexed. BUENOS AIRES, ARGENTINA

Yes, my Rhode Island brother (from another mother), Romen Rok and I are performing in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I'm amped because we are getting a chance to perform along with the Iluminate crew. I got their CD a few years ago and was happy to hear real hip hop was live and well...somewhere in this world. (<----DOUBLE thanks to Pam) We'll be down there for 10 days so I hope to familiarize myself with a lot more of the music scene down there.

You know? I wasn't going to post it because who the heck in the states can make it to South America -haha...but then I thought...why the hell not? I'm amped for this show. There's a possibility of another gig down there but nonetheless, Argentina...here we come.

Wow, I just realized it's been a minute since I posted. I've been jaded. Either that or the holidays kicked me in the groin. Either that....or....ehhhh....I can't call it.
